Mommy & Daddy's Day Out

So today we finally decided to let Yaya have her babysitting day so we could go to the plant nursery. We packed up Ethan, his stroller, & his bouncy seat and headed over to Yaya & Papi's house at about 10:30. It was nice to not have to worry about pushing a stroller & a garden cart. I called to check up on Ethan around noon and since all was well Drew & I decided to go have a nice lunch and run a few more errands before picking him up. Ethan says he had a great time playing in the backyard with his grandparents and listening to music. I've included some pictures from his adventures.

Pediatrician Visit

Today Ethan went to see Dr. Chandler for his 2 month check-up. He is a few days shy of 11 weeks old and is now 23 1/4 inches long & 12 lbs. 8 oz. That puts him right on the 50 percentile growth curve! Yay!!! Dr. Chandler was very happy to see he had plumped up.

Poor little guy got 3 shots today & 1 oral vaccine. He loved the Rotavirus one and thought it was very tasty. Not one drop spilled, the little piggy. As for the shots, his face turned blood red and he wailed for about 30 seconds before calming down to mild sniffles. Within a few minutes he was back to his normal cheerful self. He's had his first dose of Tylenol already so with luck that will keep him from feeling too icky.

Ethan Goes Safari

Texas Bluebonnets

Today we took Ethan out to take some photos in the bluebonnets. It was a little difficult to get good photos due to his fussiness and the extremely warm & sunny day, but we did manage to get a few. Have a look.

Saturday Adventures

Today we loaded up the car with all our baby gear and headed out to the Conroe area with Yaya & Auntie Courtney for a shopping excursion while Daddy & Papi went to a gun show. Ethan was a perfect little angel while we browsed & tried on clothes at Ross, so we bought him some books, wooden blocks & a few outfits that were too good of a deal to pass up. Next stop was Kohls. Unfortunately, Ethan decided he was tired, he had to burp, and he was hot. That did not make for a happy baby so he had a little melt down in Courtney's arms while I was trying on some capris. Poor Courtney! We pulled off his socks to cool him off and were able to get him to sleep so that we were able to finish our shopping in peace. Next stop was lunch at Cracker Barrel. Yum! They have these cool wooden platforms that they slide over the chairs so that they can accomodate infant carriers. I liked that because Ethan's jumbo carseat doesn't always fit in the upside down high chair. Ethan slept through the majority of lunch and then it was time to come home and let him eat again. After he finished his milkies we had a mini photo session with his new blocks before putting him down for a nap. He slept for about an hour and then was ready for playtime.

T.G.I.F.

Today Ethan & I stayed home and played together until it was time to meet up with some family & friends at El Palenque for happy hour. Ethan proudly wore one of his outfits from his Aunt Courtney today and then changed into his festive party clothes for happy hour.

Ethan Turns 2 Months Old!!

Ethan is already 2 months old! I can hardly believe it. He has grown so much already. We are loving the little smiles he's finally starting give us, and watching him really enjoy playing on his mat. It's much more exciting than just watching him sleep. Last night we moved Ethan out of the bassinet in our bedroom and into his own crib. He went to bed around 9:30 and slept until 4:30 am when he decided he was hungry. Drew fed him his bottle & he happily drifted off to sleep back in his crib until 7:30 am. We are super excited about how well he's sleeping now. Though I must admit I missed having him at the foot of our bed where I could easily peek in on him last night.
Live life to the fullest and never look back! Join Kelly, Drew, and Ethan in their latest adventures!
