October 2011 Happenings

Here's a video with photos from this month.

Wonderwild Playdate

Today Ethan, me, Courtney, Courtney's friend & her little boy all went to Wonderwild for a little indoor fun.  Here are some pics of the munchkin.
Spinning is his favorite thing.  He laughs like a crazy kid!

Climbing the lil slide

Wheeee!!!

That's so much fun!

The little mean boy is about to slide down on top of Ethan.

Having so much fun!

Riding the tricycle

I am up at the top running around like crazy!

Cooking dinner once I find my ladle.

I'm a big boy now!!!

Another Summer Day

Ethan and I love spending our days together during the summer.  Today was yet another great one.

Summer Fun

A New Purchase

Today at Target I found a steal of a deal.  I've always wanted a nice hammock.  They had a hammock stand for 50% off and a hammock for 75% off!!  I just couldn't pass up the bargain so into the basket they went.

When I told Drew about our purchase he was like hmm okay, but then he came home and this is what happened...

My Loves in the New Hammock

I think it's safe to say everyone agrees that it was a fabulous purchase.
Ethan loved eating lunch at Buca di Beppo today. He was cracking us up when he grabbed a slice of garlic bread off the plate and dipped it into the oil & vinegar. Repeatedly. Where does he learn these things?

Father's Day

Ethan wanted to give Daddy a Star Wars themed gift for Father's Day so we used an idea from Sandy Toes & Popsicles blog.

Here's what ours looked like.

Notice Ethan trying to steal the pringles!

We didn't have time to do the dipped pretzel rods so I substituted with rainbow Twizzlers.

Toddler Bed

Success!!! Ethan stayed in his bed last night from 8:15 pm to 7:15 am this morning! We were shocked but oh so happy.

Then today he went and climbed up in and and laid down for his morning nap. Tonight same story.

I snapped a few pics, but he of course is too busy to pause for photo ops.

Ethan's toddler bed

Sitting in the bed checking it out

Wow!  He wants to make his bed.

Time for night night.

Milk & bedtime

Oh no!!!

Today at 16 months and 12 days old my baby Ethan turned into little Spiderman. He scaled the rails of the crib and climbed right over. I had put him down for a nap and I heard all this banging around. When I went to investigate I found him sitting on his floor with his lamp in his lap turning it on and off. Grrrr.

When Daddy came home we had to convert the crib to the toddler bed and rearrange the room a bit so the lamp was maybe a little harder to get to.

Ethan seems to think his bed is the coolest thing ever. Mommy & Daddy are not as enthused. Since we don't own the little guard rail that goes with his crib, and I didn't plan on converting his crib anytime in the near future we have nothing to keep him from falling out. I made a nice squishy pallet on the floor in case he rolls out. We're just hoping the little guy will actually get some sleep tonight. I'll let you know how the night goes.

Galveston Trip day 2

Galveston Day 1

Today we drove down to Galveston, had lunch at Whataburger and then headed out to Stewart Beach.  For dinner we ate at Rainforest Cafe.
Snack time!
